New (Jun
13, 2005) - Mac OS X 10.3 and later users can download Across Lite as a
disk image (.dmg file). It is the same build as above. See instructions
below on extracting Across Lite from the downloaded .dmg files.

(Note:
On some 10.4 machines, the Across Lite program may not be executable after
the unbundling of the above with the icon for the program looking like a
document than a crossword puzzle grid. If you encounter this, just rename
the filename of Across Lite program to remove the .0 at the end of the file
name and it will work . This is a bug in Mac OS X).

Cumulative
fixes in this update since release of Across Lite 2.0:
- Individual
print option selection fixed in the print customized dialog box. The radio
boxes at the top now allow single selection.
- Timer window
constrained to be within the visible screen when it comes up. Prevents the
timer window going off screen and "disappearing".
- Closing a
puzzle now closes the Across Lite window rather than leave an empty window.
- Rebus indicators
turned off by default
- Incorrect
unlock key code not accepted
- One-click
print from toolbar prints a fresh grid as default
Instructions
for extracting Across Lite program from acl2mac.dmg
- Download the
acl2mac.dmg file to your mac desktop. The downloaded file will have a document
icon with a disk drive picture in the middle.
- Double-click
on the downloaded acl2mac.dmg file. You will see some brief messages appear
while the .dmg file is mounted as a temporary drive. At the end, an icon
of a disk drive titled Across Lite Software Bundle will appear on
your desktop and open automatically as a Finder window (if it doesn't open
automatically then double-click on the disk drive icon titled Across
Lite Software Bundle). Across Lite Folder will be seen inside
this window.
- Drag and drop
the entire Across Lite folder to your Desktop or to the Application
folder depending on where you want to keep it.
- Across Lite
program is inside the Across Lite folder that you just copied.
- Once you have
the Across Lite folder copied, you can delete (eject) the Across Lite
Software Bundle and the acl2mac.dmg present on your desktop.
