Solutions:

Problem: I click to download Across Lite software. Nothing happens or my web browser crashes and/or I get an error message.

Solution: Try the following. Click RIGHT mouse button on the link on the web page to download the software. In the popup menu that comes up, select the command to save to disk. This brings up a file selection dialog box. Select a folder that you know how to get to later to download the file (e.g., the Desktop or My Documents) and download. If this does not work, then there may be a problem with the web site itself. Contact the support for the web site from where you are downloading.

Problem: The software seems to download but right at the end I get an error message.

Problem: I get virus warnings when downloading.

Solution: The program has been completely checked against viruses. However, you may occasionally get false signals when you download an executable file. You can safely ignore this. If some virus protection software you have is making it impossible for you to download, either temporarily disable the virus software or try the following. Click RIGHT mouse button on the link on the web page to download the software. In the popup menu that comes up, select the command to save to disk. This brings up a file selection dialog box. Select a folder that you know how to get to later to download the file (e.g., the Desktop or My Documents) and download.

Problem: I am not sure what is happening but I cannot download the file to my computer.

Solution: Try the following. Click RIGHT mouse button on the link on the web page to download the software. In the popup menu that comes up, select the command to save to disk. Problem: I double-click the downloaded file. Nothing happens or I get an error message.

Solution: If nothing happens or you get an error message such as "Corrupt media detected" or "This is not a valid executable" etc., most likely you have an incomplete or corrupt to download. Check if the size of the downloadable is the exact number of bytes as mentioned on the download page. If not, delete the currently downloaded file and download again.

If you continue to have problems, try the following. Click RIGHT mouse button on the link on the web page to download the software. In the popup menu that comes up, select the command to save to disk. This brings up a file selection dialog box. Select a folder that you know how to get to later to download the file (e.g., the Desktop or My Documents) and download.

If the above does not solve the problem, try downloading to another disk drive or a diskette instead. If you are downloading to a computer at work, you may be restricted from installing any program on your computer. Contact your system administrator to check the policy.

Problem: I don't have Across Lite 2.0 listed in my Start->Programs menu after installation.

Solution: Either the downloaded installation program acl2setup.exe was not run or the installation was not completed successfully. Download the software again and make sure you run the downloaded file to go through the complete installation.
